Poultry

Our Family started to raise chickens back in 2002. In 2010 we started to raise and show chickens through 4-H; which then later on developed into both chickens and market birds. We enjoy raising chickens. We have all the common breeds and some specialty breeds, like our Cochin frizzles, Gray Japanese, and Silver Phoenix. ​We showed at many shows throughout the years, but after we got our dairy goats poultry shows tended to not be our main focus anymore. We still do raise chickens and market birds today, we just don't show them very much; our main use for them are for eggs and meat.

We raise Broad Breasted White turkeys for the El Dorado County Fair. We have won Reserve Champion, Grand Champion and Supreme Champion with our BBW at the EDC Fair. We also raise heritage breeds like Narragansett and Bourbon Red turkeys. We always want to provide the best product possible; That's why all of our turkey's are free to roam in grassy fields and eat forage. Along with foraging we only give them Non-GMO and organic feed.
